Luxury Recycling: Create A Sewing Box From Vintage Luggage
I’ve been in denial that my ArtBin is a terrible sewing kit since I bought it
in 1991.
O.C.D. means that you never admit to any inconvenience caused by organizational products.
Because if you bought it, it must mean that it works. Perfectly. All the time.
I mean look at these all these little compartments. Right?
Luckily, I’ve had my grandmother’s monogrammed train case for about as long as I’ve had the ArtBin. I’ve stored many things in the train case, and have even used it as carry-on luggage, but it’s mainly acted as home decor.
Somewhere in my garage I have a collection of little metal tins that I will use to keep everything inside the train case neat and tidy (and for maximum vintage cuteness). In the meantime, I’m storing my various needles and pins in 35mm film cannisters and altoid tins. Shockingly, the green Tupperware container fits 50 spools of thread!
