June Food Stamp Challenge: Hunger And Shame
Filed under Noted, Sticky Acres
If you can’t tell from my obsessive knitting, my love of mahjongg or the fact that I drink a hot beverage with every meal, I was born to be a little old lady. Which is probably why I enjoy reading Time Goes By, a blog about aging. Or maybe it’s just because Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Saul Friedman’s angry screeds are such great reading. Why can’t all grumpy old men be like him?
At any rate, he wrote a heart breaking article about the rise of hunger in America for his weekly column Gray Matter that is so worth reading.

Sticky Acres Farm and Ranch News: I harvested all 25 of our tiny Gold Kist apricots today. They are little, but yummy.
