Since everyone keeps asking me how I’m going to manage to live in Florence out of one suitcase for three months, I decided on the plane ride between Paris and Florence to do an experiment: I’m going to try to mix and match my clothes and accessories in such a way that I don’t have any repeated outfits for the entire semester. (I’m going to post a daily photo of my outfit here so I can’t cheat).

After twenty hours of travel I’ve finally arrived at my Florence apartment. Ugh. I am so sweaty and hagged out.

The mirror is in the phone booth-sized elevator of my new apartment building. (The dart-like thing in my hand is actually the front door key to my apartment). I’m going to have to figure out a way to get better, full-length pictures of myself because the elevator lighting is doing me no favors. Also, I can’t get me feet in the photograph with the elevator mirror, which is actually a good thing today. Because I’m wearing my boner killer outfit destroying, white running shoes. From the ankles down I look especially terrible. Yes, lavender silk flower hair clip looks weird with the rest of the outfit. But it’s one of those things that just doesn’t pack well, so I had to wear it on the plane to keep it from getting squished flat in my suitcase.
